Ramp4x4 Privacy Policy

Ramp4x4 ("the app") is a Norwegian 4×4 / VO₂ max interval-training coach for iPhone and Apple Watch. We designed it to keep your data on your own devices. This policy explains what the app accesses and why.

Health & fitness data

With your permission, the app reads and writes data through Apple HealthKit, including heart rate, workouts, walking/running distance, active energy, and VO₂ max. This data is used solely to run your workout, deliver coaching, and show your history and trends on your devices. HealthKit data is stored by Apple on your device and in your Apple Health account. We do not receive, transmit, or store your health data on any server we control. Health data is never used for advertising or sold.

Location

If you enable it, the app uses your location during an active outdoor workout on Apple Watch to measure distance, pace, and your route. Location is processed on-device and saved with the workout in Apple Health. We do not collect, transmit, or store your location.

Workout history & settings

Your workout summaries, presets, and profile settings are stored locally and in your own private Apple iCloud key-value store so they sync across your devices and survive reinstalls. This is your personal iCloud — we have no access to it.

Purchases

Ramp4x4 Premium is an auto-renewable subscription processed by Apple. Purchases and renewals are handled entirely by the App Store; we never see your payment details.

Diagnostics & analytics

To keep the app stable and understand which features are used, Ramp4x4 relies on two third-party services:

• Sentry — crash and error reporting. Receives crash logs, error reports, app version, device model, and OS version when something goes wrong.
• PostHog — product analytics. Receives app-usage events (for example: app opened, workout started, workout completed, subscription screen viewed) and basic diagnostic logs.

These services receive only app-usage and technical diagnostic data. They never receive your HealthKit data (heart rate, workouts, VO₂ max) or your location. We do not attach your name or email to these events, we do not use them for advertising, and we do not sell them.

What we do NOT do

We do not show advertising, we do not use advertising or ad-tracking SDKs, and we do not sell your personal data. Your HealthKit and location data stay on your device and are never sent to us or to any analytics provider.

Your privacy choices & rights

You stay in control of your data:

• HealthKit & location — manage or revoke access anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security (Health / Location Services), or in the Health app.
• Workout history — delete individual workouts in the app; remove all app data by deleting the app.
• Diagnostics & analytics — to opt out of crash and usage reporting, or to request deletion of diagnostic data associated with your device, email us at the address below and we will honor it.
• Access & deletion (GDPR / CCPA) — wherever you live, you may request access to, or deletion of, any personal data we hold. We do not sell or "share" personal information as defined by California law (CCPA/CPRA).

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
